Cheryl Woody, who grew up in Parke County and earned a degree in retail management from Purdue University, always knew she wanted to own her own shop. After college, she worked at L.S. Ayers and May Co., then spent years moving around the country with her husband Joe, a Navy officer. She focused her creative energies on bringing up their two daughters, helping out at their schools and fashioning fun activities. A few years after the family moved to the Lafayette area, Joe was shopping at Two Tulips and figured it was perfect for Cheryl. She went to work in the store part time in 2001 and bought the business in 2006.
